Watch Evan Konrad’s New Video for “Long Way Out”

Canadian singer-songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Evan Konrad debuts “The Long Way Out”.
The ethereal track toggles between magnetic manic energy and a cathartic falsetto that is hauntingly pleasing. In addition, Konrad’s lyrics are piercingly resonating “this isn’t how I thought of our escape/ Don’t you know what’s at stake/ I’ve had all I can take/ I feel our hands separate.” Listen below.

Also, on the video Konrad said: Originally the treatment for “The Long Way Out Video” was about a visual metaphor for a vanity filled man fighting to escape the chaos of his own mind. Having spent time shooting the video, I began to realize that it was very much a metaphor to my past as an artist, like a prologue to my future. The look, the way I’m dressed, even the style and lyrics of the song all seem to dwell in both an old and new world for me. It wasn’t something I was consciously aware of during the process of shooting. It’s quite a liberating experience to have that documented and showcased in this music video, especially being that It’s my introduction to the world.”
