It’s the first official Play Into It Trailer Roundup: Trailers of the week of 2021. We’ve round up the newest trailer releases, and admittingly, it’s loaded. From Malcolm & Marie to I Care A Lot. As well as Barb & Star, Cherry, and many more.

We’ve missed the favorite part of our Sundays, Trailer Roundup: Trailers of the Week. First up is one of the films on our must-watch, starring Daniel Kaluuya as the Black Panther Party Chairman Fred Hampton for Warner Brothers. A film about finding love while in the frontier era. Netflix’s beloved coming-of-age series on Lara Jean. A deliciously devilish Netflix film about grifting. Tom Holland proves his acting depth in the Russos’ newest for Apple+. Also, a Newbury Award-winning novel turned Disney+ series. Zendaya now enters the Oscar race with Netflix. Lastly, a comedic duo from Bridesmaids introduces us to Barb & Star from Lionsgate.

Judas and the Black Messiah

You can jail a Revolutionary, but you can’t jail the Revolution.” Chairman Fred Hampton of the Black Panther Party famously says. Threatened by the rise of power of the BPP, the FBI brings in an informant, William O’Neal (LaKeith Stanfield), to spy and destroy the Black Panther Party.
Release date: February 12th, via Warner Brothers.

The World to Come

Finding love in unlikely places during the frontier era, Abigail (Katherine Waterston) and Tallie (Vanessa Kirby) do just that. While their budding romance consumes them, life’s circumstance keeps them apart.
Release date: February 12th.

To All The Boys: Always and Forever

It’s officially senior year, which means prom, spring break, and college applications. The future is inevitable, yet Lara Jean is so sure of sharing her future with Peter. Except, now Lara Jean seems to yearn for the east coast. As in New York, but that means uncertainty with Peter. Although as Netflix’s teaser tantalizes, Stanford rejects her. So, now what?
Release Date: February 12th, via Netflix.

I Care a Lot

Whenever Rosamund Pike has a blunt bob, we know to watch some fierce acting. Also, seeing Rosamund Pike with a blunt bob and inhaling a vape while conning people in some wellness program spy as our favorite underrated Chris (as in Messina) is also starring? Yes, count us in. Netflix indeed won us over with Dianne Weist too.

Cherry

Cherry (Tom Holland) plays a soldier who served in Iraq, the trailer below echoes. A rugged look into the often looked over veterans who have untreated PTSD.
Cherry turns to a life of petty crimes and the seedy life of substance abuse to ‘survive’ and escape his life’s havoc. Including losing the love of his life.
Release date: March 12th, via Apple+.

Malcolm & Marie

John David Washington and Zendaya are like quiet thunderstorms that come out of nowhere, but the impression lasts. Already getting rave reviews and generating Oscar buzz, the pair star as a couple examining their relationship throughout a single evening.
Release date: February 5th, via Netflix.

Barb & Star Go to Vista Del Mar

The dynamic duo that brought us Bridesmaids are back. Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo star in itBarb & Star Go to Vista Del Mar. It’s fun, kitschy, striking, and musical numbers? We can’t wait to watch it.
Release date: February 12th, via Lionsgate.

Finding Ohana

Finding Ohana is Jude Weng’s upcoming directorial debut for Netflix. It focuses on two Brooklyn-raised siblings who find adventure while spending their summer in Oahu. Ultimately, it’s the perfect family film for the older kids.

Flora and Ulysses
