Nicole and I wanted to pick a classic for our very first Sip and See film; that way, we can honor lost lovers Rick Blaine (Humphrey Bogart) and Ilsa Lund (Ingrid Bergman) with champagne cocktails and watch it all unfold.
The film still holds up, even seventy-eight years later, as one of the greatest of all time. Rick’s too-cool for feelings demeanor and tough-guy exterior is hiding a secret sweet side due to heartache; “of all the gin joints, in all the towns, in all the world, she walks into mine.”
