Sip & See With Play Into It Movie Edition: “13 Going on 30”

Sip and See 13 Going on 30

For our second Sip & See Movie Edition, we briefly revisit the ’80s. An extraordinary yet radical era where Aqua Net reigned supreme. If that hasn’t caught your attention, then maybe Jennifer Garner or Mark Ruffalo will. Come Sip & See 13 Going on 30 with us.

When put to the vote, you helped us decided on a feel-good romantic comedy that fans adore. Even Ariana Grande paid homage in her Thank U, Next video. Now sixteen years later, 13 Going on 30 is still a beloved fan favorite.
Often compared to Big, the movie captures the “what if” factor we all dream of, not to mention the naivety of thinking that we know what being a grown-up means when we’re younger.
So for our homage to the ever-so-charming Jenna Rink, we created the fruit punch cocktail to go along with the film as well as an accompanying curated playlist.

First, 13 Going on 30 is a sparkly and flirty version of Big without that ick factor (and that’s coming from someone who loves the film Big).
Jenna Rink (Christa B. Allen) is over the junior high hierarchy as she wishes to be flirty, thirty, and thriving on her thirteenth birthday. Suddenly, Jenna’s transformed into a grownup (Jennifer Garner) overnight. A modern-day fairy tale, newly teenager Jenna has to adapt to adulthood, which isn’t as easy as it seems. Although the film sure makes it look a little lighter, this film is a feel-good kind of comfort that we all deserve.

In brief, we dedicate our fruit punch cocktail to Jenna Rink; may she always feel thirty, flirty, and thriving.

This vibrant fruity drink is refreshing yet delicious; we used two vodka shots in our recipe and used pop rocks for the glass rim. Drink responsibly!
