After a highly acclaimed self-released EP, Loving return with their first full-length album with If I Am Only My Thoughts.

Loving is the collaboration of David Parry and brothers, Lucas and Jesse Henderson. The band came together several years ago as a result of their shared summers planting trees in the capitalist ruins of western Canada’s forests. Unquestionably, this organic chemistry contributed to Loving’s lo-fi wonderment.

The end results are psychedelic folk songs that are airy with a relaxed sense of ease that’s so warming. It’s like looking through the lens of a super eight film from the seventies.
Its vibe is similar to golden sunbeams on a summer beach day, Loving’s musical waves calmingly transcend you.

In its entirety, If I Am Only My Thoughts is gleaming with a honey-like aura.
Nevertheless, the duality of the album’s comprised of a series of open-ended questions that circle existential themes. Underneath its delicate exterior, lays a space to ruminate in life’s uncertainties and acknowledge the often strange journey of being alive.

Jesse further explains, “There isn’t a single narrative driving this album, but we do linger on some basic human problems: confusion in the face of a desire for self-knowledge and belonging, a struggle for meaning that is circular and sometimes seemingly endless.” Stream below.

Our album standouts are: Only She Knows, January, Nihilist Kite Flyer, Growing Flowers By Candlelight. Overall, the whole album shines.
Thus make sure to stream Loving If I Am Only My Thoughts which is out now via Last Gang Records.
