The emancipation of JoJo continues
We still can’t get enough of JoJo’s self-analyzing Joanna. However, her slow simmering track Sabotage offers a vulnerability that hits close to home.
Directed by James Larese and features fellow Warner Records artist CHIKA, the track spotlights why fans cherish her so much. Her adept ability to be an open book as we, quite honestly, grow up together throughout the years.
Previously, JoJo explains via a statement: “A lot of people self-sabotage. I tend to do it in romantic relationships and I think most of it roots to fear – fear of being inadequate, fear of getting hurt, fear of rejection, fear of not measuring up…
This song’s about asking a lot of questions, dealing with shame, embarrassment, and really just owning up to certain patterns.”
