U.K. multi-instrumentalist singer/songwriter Robin Skinner’s musical talent is embedded in his DNA (he’s the son of a professional flutist and Cambridge University’s director of music).
He’s been captivating fans as Cavetown since 2013 bewitching them with a charming concept, he gives fans a look through the looking glass with his YouTube channel.
Offering plenty of behind-the-scenes vignettes, along with covers, and other musical treats – allowing fans to get to know him as a person, rather than just a voice filling their earbuds.
Cavetown’s newest release is the video for Telescope directed by Moon. The video portrays him trapped in a fishbowl, eventually breaking through once he finds the strength to pull himself through the darkness.
Addedly, he explains “I speak about very genuine things and very personal things that I find hard to say. That’s why I write a song about it. I think people relate to that: Sometimes they can’t put things into words, but when they hear a song about it, they can point to that.”
