After a brief break, we’re back with Trailer Roundup and it’s pretty stacked. First up is the only other Marvel film aside from the monstrous Avengers Endgame, A24’s Awkwafina fronted film, a Sundance Film Festival darling that looks like a worthy horror movie, a best-selling book turned movie starring Cate Blanchett, the highly anticipated It sequel, a stunning look into Judy Garland’s life in London, and two new HBO series that hopefully help us forget about that penultimate episode of Game of Thrones.

Before you hit play on the trailer, if you still haven’t seen Avengers Endgame beware that there’s a major spoiler so if you haven’t watched Endgame, watch this spoiler-free trailer HERE.
Still dealing with the aftermath of Endgame and Spider-Man: Far From Home takes place after… That. In the trailer, Peter Parker is on a class trip to Europe while taking time off from his web-slinging ways in New York City. However, in true Marvel fashion, no superhero gets to truly take a vacation especially when Nick Fury crashes your school trip. To make things more interesting, Fury introduces Parker to Mysterio to fight “several elemental creature attacks.” Spider-Man: Far From Home hits theaters July 2.

Based on a true lie,” the newest film from A24 stars the always fantastic Awkwafina as the Chinese-born, U.S.-raised Billi whose beloved grandmother is dying from cancer. Deciding to return to Changchun to be with her family as they celebrate Nai-Nai’s final weeks although here’s the kicker; no one tells Nai-Nai. Instead, the entire family makes up an excuse — her cousin’s wedding — to be by Nai-Nai’s side. Written and directed by Lulu Wang, The Farewell is in theaters July 12.

Already generating buzz at its premiere at this year’s Sundance Film Festival The Lodge stars Riley Keough stars as Grace, a woman trying to ingratiate herself to her new man’s children (Lia McHugh and Jaeden Martell) by suggesting a weekend away. Unfortunately for her, the kids aren’t exactly interested in getting to know her, instead the kids do a little online investigation into Grace and they come to realize that Grace is the only surviving member of a suicide cult she escaped as a child. To add insult to injury, Grace’s boyfriend (Richard Armitage) has to leave early and the remaining trio gets themselves trapped in the middle of nowhere during a snowstorm.
From the directors of Goodnight Mommy, The Lodge is sure to haunt us all later this fall.

Based on the best-selling novel by Maria Semple, the film Where’d You Go Bernadette finds Cate Blanchett ready to flee to Antarctica to start her life’s second act in director Richard Linklater‘s latest. You may remember we added this film to our 45 Most Anticipated Movies of 2019, the cast alone struck our fancy. Aside from the outstanding Blanchette the film also stars Billy Crudup, Kristen Wiig, Judy Greer, and Laurence Fishburne. Needless to say, I’ll also pretty much watch anything Blanchett and Linklater so we’re excited to see this one in theaters August 9th.

The first trailer for the highly anticipated It sequel is here. The It: Chapter Two trailer sees the reunited Losers Club back in Derry, Maine 27 years after the last appearance of Pennywise (Bill Skarsgård). A grown-up Beverly Marsh (Jessica Chastain) visiting her unhappy childhood home and getting a surprise welcome home from the current tenant.
The rest of the trailer shows Bill Denbrough (James McAvoy), Mike Hanlon (Isaiah Mustafa), Ben Hanscom (Jay Ryan), Eddie Kaspbrak (James Ransone), Richie Tozier (Bill Hader), and Stanley Uris (Andy Bean) back to battle the ultimate evil yet again. The sequel hits theaters September 6, don’t forget… You’ll float too”.

It’s time to go beyond the rainbow with Renée Zellweger as Judy Garland. The trailer sees the iconic Wizard of Oz song Somewhere Over the Rainbow over various scenes from Garland’s life during in 1968 as she arrives in London for her sold-out run at the nightclub Talk of the Town. Based on Peter Quilter’s play End of the Rainbow adapted for the screen by Tom Edge and directed by Rupert Goold. Judy will be in theaters on September 27, 2019.
