The Marías are following up their recent cover of Mac DeMarco with their latest sultry visual for Hold It Together.

There’s just something about The Marías. They’ve captured an adept ability to perfectly soundtrack a mood while blurring the genre and cultural lines as well as openly discussing mental health issues have also captured the hearts of listeners worldwide.

Now their latest single release is also a new video. The Bethany Vargas directorial features María Zardoya mirroring her silky vocals with a black satin ensemble and a minimal deep rose-colored background as a reflective ball slides, twists, and turns around her; as if to symbolize the back and forth of a relationship.
Hold it together, God I wish I knew better / than to be alone like this, maybe I’m over it /I’m a little like you, don’t pick up, I slide through, and never be alone like this /I’m so over it,” she purrs.

The band further explains of the song, “We started writing this song in our van while on tour in late 2018 and finished it in the middle of an empty desert a couple of months later.
This is part of an A-side/B side release, and this is side A. Thank ya’ll so much for your love and patience, we love you
.” Watch Hold It Together below.

Hold It Together marks the first new music from the bilingual Los Angeles-based band, although as mentioned above, there’s also a forthcoming B side to look forward to.
