Following two single releases, North London’s Meggie Brown has now released her latest with Boys Boys Boys.
After listening to Brown’s latest, it’s no wonder she’s listed as The Guardian’s 50 New Artists for 2020 or why Franz Ferdinand’s Alex Kapranos has also been a vocal champion and even producing her early work at Edwyn Collins’ studio.
Boys Boys Boys is an excellent throwback style with a thoughtful amount of UK post-punk attitude with an outstanding message. All in all, it’s quite the banger.
Brown explains further about the video, “It’s a love song ultimately. I’m having fun in the song and the video with the idea that masculinity ‘belongs’ only to men.
When you love someone you love someone, and that’s that, what’s gender got to do with it?”
