Madison, WI’s Disq have shared Loneliness, the second single and video from their anticipated new album, Collector, out March 6th via Saddle Creek.
Disq is childhood friends Isaac deBroux-Slone and Raina Bock from Madison, Wisconsin. Now in their early twenties, they’re rounded out by Shannon Connor (guitar/keys/vocals), Logan Severson (guitar/vocals), and Brendan Manley (drums) they’re a promising act fueling the resurgence of indie-rock.
As a result, the track’s expressive layers of progressive guitars that we haven’t heard in a while. It’s easy to see why Disq is the band to watch out for in this genre’s reemergence.
Of the song, Isaac deBroux-Slone further explains, “‘Loneliness’ is about the feeling of helplessness you get after someone you love has moved far away. At the time, my high-school girlfriend of a few years was moving from Madison to Los Angeles for college. We’d decided to stay together, but with the distance, I began to feel a kind of loneliness that I hadn’t known before..” Make sure to watch Loneliness below.
