Chicano Batman has announced not only a brand new single and accompanying visual but also a new album, Invisible People, as well as a new tour.
While Invisible People is a 12-track record, it’s also Chicano Batman’s fourth studio album to date. The album sees the band working with Shawn Everett, the GRAMMY®-winning mixing engineer that’s known for his work with Alabama Shakes, Kacey Musgraves, and Julian Casablancas.
The band credits them for helping merge known their tropicalia inclined indie rock into a more sleek and streamlined sound. In a press release, Bardo Martinez explains, “a retreat to nature in the apocalyptic dawn.”
As a result, Color My Life is slick and glazed production that merges the tropicalia factor we love from Chicano Batman as well as twinkling synths and high-end manufacturing.
Not to mention, the visual’s directed by George Mays and features Chicano Batman being silly and goofing around in Los Angeles. Watch the shenanigans below.
