Trace Mountains, also known as LVL UP’s Dave Benton, has announced a new album as well as its self-titled track Lost in the Country.
Since we’ve been longing for warmer sunnier days, Lost in the Country helps facilitate the warmness we’ve been after due to its softness and warmth.
Also, the song’s sharp ability to deal with identity as well as existence in a seemingly jumbled world. Benton’s newest track is a charmingly idyllic debut track that follows his 2014 compilation Buttery Sprouts & Other Songs also his full-length debut A Partner to Lean On in 2018.
Of the song, Benton explains further, “A lot of the songs on this record feel like a bit of an awakening for me, but this one especially. It’s so easy to get caught up in the details of your own life and lose important things along the way. ‘Lost in the Country’ is a song about regret and reaching out for the missing things.” Listen below.
