London-based Leon of Athens musically channels Sufjan Stevens meets Grizzly Bear, as he brings us an uplifting and captivating slice of indie-pop with Communication, featuring Duska.
Perhaps best known for his breakout album, Global, back in his homeland in Greece, that doesn’t mean Leon of Athens is settling down. Ready to make his mark in the United States and with Communication, he’s a bit closer.
Additionally written alongside David Sneddon (Lewis Capaldi/Lana Del Rey), the single beings with a slow simmering melody and then boils to its peak. With flourishes of dance and slick harmonies, it’s addictive to listen. Also, that falsetto just won’t quit.
