Nashville singer/songwriter Emily Weisband has written for the likes of Camila Cabello, Noah Cyrus, BTS, Keith Urban, and Halsey to name a few. Nevertheless, she’s now ready to tell her own story on her forthcoming debut EP, Identity Crisis, due out on October 18.
Her third single encapsulates that anxious, hard to read, moment of liking someone but not knowing how they feel in return. Weisband says Mixed Emotions is the “perfect song… for figuring out how you feel about someone.”
Weisband further explains, “all these boys be getting mad at me because I can’t tell them how I feel about them… But the fact is I can’t sum it up because I don’t just feel one thing – I feel 10 different things, and sometimes “I don’t know” is the most honest answer I can give. No solutions here, just a jam to let y’all know that if you feel like you’re NUTZ you’re not alone. Also what says Identity Crisis more than a girl who doesn’t know how she feels about anything?”
