LA-based acclaimed singer-songwriter Harry Hudson previously released his stunning debut Yesterday’s Tomorrow Night. Certainly, a highly personal and soulful collection released via a joint partnership between Roc Nation and, close friends, Willow and Jaden Smith’s MSFTS Music.
Now Hudson has made his 2019 debut with a beautifully melancholic new track titled Mean To Love.
From first listen, you’re immediately drawn to the Jess Jackson/Izzy Fontaine production.
Then at the 0:12 mark, Hudson’s velvet baritone hits. The longing expressed in Hudson’s voice shows depth, unlike his male pop star counterparts that seem void of sentiment.
About the track Hudson explains, “I found myself running away from love because I didn’t feel worthy of it. I was literally being ‘mean’ to love itself and it affected my relationships.”
Additionally, Hudson’s currently prepping for his forthcoming album as well as hitting the road in Europe this month.
