Gorillaz returns with their third episode of Song Machine titled Aries which also features the legendary Peter Hook on bass along with alt-pop singer/producer Georgia on drums. Aries sees our virtual heroes capture much of the current mood with a soaring affirmation of human connection.
Aries picks up where we last saw the band, visiting Lake Como via a Kong Studios portal. As guitarist Noodle said, “Highly impatient and competitive, many Aries have the fighting spirit of your mythological ruler.”
Viewers also see last week’s message from Murdoc Niccals that the band assures fans that Song Machine remains ON.
Besides, Gorillaz is inviting the bold and the brave to escape the unreality of lockdown and Get Lost With Gorillaz as Murdoc, 2D, Noodle, and Russel are drawn to various locations around the world as they send back regular reports from the splendidly real confines of virtual isolation.
