Glass Animals Announce New Single and Album Dreamland

From the confines of lockdown, Glass Animals announce new single and album, Dreamland. Even an accompanying video for Dreamland drops while the new album is set for a July 10th release via Republic Records.

Glass Animals continue to treat fans, whether it’s their quarantine covers or new tracks like the recently announced new single and album, Dreamland.
The self-made visual is quite a dreamy escape. Frontman Dave Bayley using written instructions, set in Dave’s own home and directed entirely on ZOOM; it’s an absurd yet strangely comforting dreamlike trip that marries the track and album together.

Dreamland finds the British group – and Bayley specifically – taking a nostalgic and deeply personal turn. A follow up to 2016’s How to Be a Human Being primarily focuses on Bayley’s past, both personally and professionally speaking “I put every ounce of my soul into this album. It’s the most ambitious and challenging thing we’ve done by a distance. Dreamland goes through many of the most confusing moments in my life. It’s about growing up, from my first memories as a little kid to now. Quite often, those moments are funny, sometimes awkward, sometimes heart-breaking, sometimes it’s about love or hate, sexuality. It’s about realizing it’s ok not to have answers, and it’s ok not to know how you feel about things and that it’s ok to be and look vulnerable.”

Last but not least, Glass Animals’ Dreamland out July 10th via Republic Records.
Additionally, Glass Animals continue to bring fans much-needed comfort with their Quarantine Covers Episodes on YouTube. Dave Bayley’s recent covers include Nirvana’s Heart-Shaped Box and Lana Del Rey’s Young & Beautiful.
Oh, and Glass animals also set up their Open Source website. It’s full of fun stuff and surprises, so check it out.
