South London-born songwriter and producer Jamie Isaac, also known as Tom Cully, is following up his 2016 Couch Baby and 2018 04:30 albums with his newest EP, 3.

Crafting his musical palate within the last five years, Jamie Isaac continues to grow and nurture his musical taste. Infused misty beats, soul, and plenty of striking contemporary jazz notes, as well as hip-hop rhythms, make for quite the musicality. However, that’s what Isaac’s achieved.

Undoubtedly, heading to LA and meeting fellow beatsmith Nosaj Thing (previously collaborating with Chance the Rapper, Jamie XX, as well as Toro y Moi) resulted in an ideally organic fit.
Thus their aptly-titled three-track EP 3 combined their musical vision into a new territory of deep-house melancholia and the subdued yet expressive flavor of R&B.

About 3, Jamie comments: “ I’m really trying to make music that people can actually move to. I love to dance myself. It was great working with someone who’d just say no – if he didn’t like my melodies, he’d push back.
Nosaj and I understand each other’s music, we have similar styles, and we’ve become really good friends. We’re making songs for people to have fun too – I’m into going down that route. I love pop music!
”.

3 is short yet sweet, in an excellent way. Just like a musical amuse-bouche, it’s a harmonious fricassée, and we can’t wait to see more of Jamie Isaac.
