Aaron Parke’s latest EP, The Willowside is a breath of fresh air as well as a mental reset in the midst of chaos.
As previously stated, my anxiety’ s been on a roller coaster of a ride throughout the current world affairs. Undoubtedly, I’m not the only one, so it’s always a bit magical when music can help soothe.
Thusly, Parke’s The Willowside been a comforting soundtrack throughout my week.
Parke recommends listening to the Ep while being outside (if possible) on a lovely sunshine-drenched day, while we recommend vibing and even a libation of your choice.
The Willowside captures a peacefulness that aids one’s state of mind – enjoying mother nature during the golden hour as the soft rays drip onto your skin and helping us realize to enjoy the little things; it pairs well with Kacey Musgraves’ Golden Hour.
The EP’s recorded alongside Nashville artist and producer Cheyenne Medders with some backing from Zac Swann (Z. Swann, Nordista Freeze) and Abraham Fongnaly (And the Boys, Sister Kit).
Parke’s goal was to channel the prolific influence of singer-songwriters in the ‘60s and ‘70s except with a fresh lens. Hence the fusion of indie, folk, as well as country elements makes for a lush sound. Stream The Willowside below.
