About Play Into It

Play Into It is an independent digital publication based in New York and Texas. Crafted and devised by Nicole Garcia in 2019 to showcase a passion for art, film, music, and more. PII founder Nicole then recruited fellow creative and friend, Naomi Mejia, elevating Play Into It into the current collaborative effort it is only without the elitism.

Despite working full-time, PII is still a labor of love despite being a passion project, at least for the time being. We’re two proud first-generation Latinx’s spearheading this digital publication for anyone who sincerely also loves pop culture with depth.
Or perhaps you’re continuing your mental health/wellness journey too and in which case, know you’re not alone. We have our struggles too, that’s why we want to help destigmatize the taboos around our own struggles with mental health because it’s nothing to be ashamed of.
Currently, PII has grown into today’s website— a dedication and appreciation for the love we have that goes deeper than just pop culture itself. Independent films and music are a shared love; therefore, we made it a priority to not only feature but support future trailblazers and dream chasers.

While we aim to be the go-to source for those seeking a creative outlet, for now, we’re continuing our growth through thoughtfully curated articles. Although, without corporate agendas or biased sponsored posts. We write from love rather than articles that clearly are meant to shill products just for the sake of selling an image or lifestyle.
