PII’s 10 Essential Eat the Rich Movies

10 essential eat the rich movies Play Into It

Films often mirror tumultuous political times, so it’s no wonder why there’s been a rise in ‘eat the rich’ movies. This horror/thriller subgenre sees the blissful one-percenters being unaffected by the current political turmoil. Meanwhile, the rest of the 99 percenters suffer from a capitalist society’s greedy and dark underbelly. As a result, many people currently feel helpless or feel unheard. Powerless, the people crave change but unsure how to go about it. Understandably there’s a lot of fear and rage, so it’s no wonder there’s been a social media revolt.
While pop culture continues to shadow the sign of the times, there’s yet to be a true revolt and declaring open season on tearing apart the bourgeoisie class system above them. Still, we’re enjoying watching the fictional uprising in cinemas. Until then, here’s PII’s 10 essential eat the rich movies.
